This is a fully mentored lean six sigma certification program (Black Belt) from two time Lean author and master black belt. It now also includes live lectures.
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is advanced-level education that qualifies an individual to act as team leader in the implementation of any Lean Six Sigma project within their organization. As a black belt, these individuals are considered Lean Six Sigma experts, proficient in the use of statistical data analysis, designed experiments, team leadership and project management.
The black belt course is made up of six modules, beginning with an advanced introduction to Six Sigma and Lean thinking. The succeeding five modules cover expert-level concepts within the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework (define, measure, analyze, improve, control). At the conclusion of each module, a multiple-choice test will be given. Students must earn a score of 80% or higher to pass. Once all modules, assignments and tests have been completed, a final exam is administered. To receive black belt certification, all students must score 70% or higher on the final exam and have completed two Lean Six Sigma projects.
Upon completion of the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training, students will possess the ability to lead future process improvement endeavors with expert precision on a full-time basis. These individuals are highly knowledgeable in change management and engagement strategies, possess finely tuned problem solving, statistical analysis and critical thinking skills, are masters of Lean thinking and are qualified to coach and mentor belts-in-training.
